First Month Blogging Income Reports – Learn How These Bloggers Made Money!

So wayyyyyyyy back in 2017 when I started my first blog, I used income reports for motivation. ๐Ÿ˜…

One of the first income reports I had read was one from Michelle at Making Sense of Cents. I was fascinated and in awe by the fact she was able to make tens of thousands of dollars blogging. After binge-reading all of her income reports, I just knew I had to start a blog too!

Michelle showed what affiliates she was making money from and things that she wanted to do differently the next month. Thanks to her in-depth income reports, I was able to piece together a plan for my own blog. ๐Ÿ‘

I hope I can help give you some of that same motivation!

We may earn money or products from the companies mentioned in this post. Please check out our disclosure policy for more information.

What I Learned

Before we get into the analysis of each income report, I wanted to give you the takeaways at the beginning (just in case you don’t have time to read 2000 words). This is what I learned from reading these income reports:

  • Promotion: Most bloggers on this list relied on Pinterest to get traffic, a lot of them used Tailwind to schedule their pins. A few of the bloggers used Facebook groups to help promote their blogs.
  • Money, Money, Money: Most of the bloggers made money with ads or affiliat marketing. The most popular ad company was Google Adsense, and one of the most popular affilaites was Bluehost.
  • Expenses: All of the bloggers on this list bought hosting (usually with Bluehost), and a domain. Some bloggers bought courses, and/or a scheduling tool (like Tailwind).
  • What did work: Some of the bloggers on this list tried using Instagram to promote thier blogs (and didn’t see much success).

About This List

I’ve put together this list of first month income reports from different bloggers.

I hope this does two things:

  • Keeps you motivated (you don’t start out making $1000’s a month)
  • Helps give you ideas that you can implement on your own blog

I’ve sorted this list by niche, and started with the smallest amount first. I hope that’s okay with you!

For each income report on this list, I tell you how much the blogger made, where that income came from, and how they were able to make money.
