Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk or any milk of your choice
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder: For rich chocolate flavor.
  • 1-2 tablespoons pure maple syrup or honey or a natural sweetener like stevia: Adjust based on your sweetness preference.
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract: For an added layer of flavor.
  • 1-2 tablespoons dark chocolate chips optional: For extra richness.
  • Optional toppings: Whipped cream try a lighter version or coconut whipped cream, a sprinkle of cocoa powder, chocolate sauce or chocolate chips .

Method
 

  1. Heat the Milk: In a small saucepan over medium heat, warm the almond milk, unsweetened cocoa powder and maple syrup until hot but not boiling, stirring occasionally.
  2. Combine: Once the milk is warmed, whisk in chocolate chips and stirring until stirring until melted and combined.
  3. Stir in the vanilla extract
  4. Serve: Pour the hot chocolate into a mug.
  5. Optional Toppings: Add whipped cream on top and any additional toppings like cocoa powder, chocolate sauce or chocolate shavings or chips for an extra touch.
